How It Started

Hello there,

Thank you once again for supporting Jadorie. I know I say this often, but I truly do not think you realize how much of an impact you have made. Without your support, Jadorie and I would not be where we are today—more grounded and hopeful. Your encouragement has been a saving grace.

My journey with Jadorie began after leaving the corporate world of management in 2023. This transition, while necessary for my health, was not without its challenges. I grappled with uncertainty about my health and future, and had to confront traumas that I had ignored. To navigate this new chapter, I turned to my childhood dreams and focused on what I knew best: helping others, staying optimistic, and being resourceful.

Like many others growing up, I wanted to do everything at once, from humanitarian efforts (finding ways to save the world) to light-hearted activities that remind us of the beauty that the world has to offer, such as art and fashion.

However, I realized I wanted something to call my own while also sharing what matters to me with the world.

I created Jadorie to inspire others to prioritize self-love through self-care consciously. I wanted to remind individuals that their well-being is essential in sustaining the important things to them. I understood the significance of connection and helping others. However, I learned that it should not come from neglecting oneself to the point of burnout or physical pain. 

Through my journey, I've come to understand that to maintain our love of service, we must first love and care for ourselves. This ensures that what we give to others does not deplete us. It's a simple truth: prevention is better than attempting to remedy what has been distorted. And self-care is the key to this prevention.

It's important to acknowledge that the journey of self-love through self-care is ongoing and not always easy. I don't have all the answers, and some days, the struggle feels overwhelming. But I've come to realize that we're all more similar than we might think. We don't have to face our challenges alone; we just need to be brave enough to ask for help and accept love when it's offered. This shared experience is what binds us together.

The trajectory of our lives is not clear-cut. Sometimes we just need gentle reminders that we are not alone, we do not have to do it alone, and we can bounce back like we have in the past. We need others just as much as they need us. And to help others, we must help ourselves first.

So, I want to thank you for being a part of our community, for reminding us that we are not alone in our struggles. We do not have to face everything by ourselves, and we are more resilient than the doubts that sometimes creep in. Together, we can overcome any challenge. 

As we continue this journey together, I want to encourage you to embrace your own unique path of self-love and self-care. Remember, it's okay to have moments of vulnerability and uncertainty; those are often the very moments that lead to our greatest breakthroughs. Each small step you take toward nurturing yourself contributes to a larger tapestry of support and love that surrounds us all. 

Let's cultivate a community where self-love is celebrated, where we uplift each other, share our stories, and remind one another of the importance of prioritizing our well-being. Trust that when you take the time for self-reflection and self-compassion, you not only enhance your life but also create a ripple effect that inspires others to do the same.
